Using microbe to ferment Chinese herbs is a traditional method of processing traditional Chinese medicine. After being fermented, many herbs achieved good clinical efficacy. As one part of traditional Chinese medicinal materials, medicinal fun- gi is also an important microbial resources. This paper will discuss the feasibility of medicinal fungi to ferment Chinese herbs and compound from four aspects to further promote the application of the biotechnology in the processing of traditional Chinese medicine and compatibility of compound.
