Bipolar disorder is a mental disease with high morbidity,high recurrence rate,and heavy burden.With the advances of MRI,the pathogenesis of bipolar disorder can be explored and the biomarkers for clinical diagnosis can be developed by analyzing structural or functional abnormalities of bipolar disorder patients.Recent studies in bipolar disorder,in which diffusion tensor imaging,resting-state functional MRI and structural MRI were reviewed in this article.
