采用硬脂酸对氧化铈粉末进行湿法表面改性,通过改性前后粉体的粒度、沉降速度、TEM、FT-IR和DTA分析CeO2的改性效果。结果表明,超细氧化铈经硬脂酸表面改性后,氧化铈粒度较改性之前有所减小,氧化铈颗粒团聚现象较改性前明显降低;提高了在液体石蜡中的分散性,硬脂酸分子在氧化铈表面发生吸附键合,有一部分硬脂酸与超细氧化铈表面发生了化学作用,形成硬脂酸盐,热分析显示改性后的氧化铈表面形成的硬脂酸盐在500℃发生炭化。
The surface modification process of CeO2 power by stearic acid was investigated in this paper.The modification effects were evaluated by the surface properties such as particle size,sedimentation speed,TEM,FT-IR and DTA.The results indicate that super-fine CeO2 is modified by the stearic acid,the particle size of CeO2 is decreased contrasted with that untreated,aggregation status of CeO2 particulates is significantly lower than that unmodified.The particulates dispersion in atoleine is improved after surface modification.The stearic acid molecules form adsorption bond in ceria surface,and part of stearic acid and ultra-fine cerium oxide surface react and form stearate salt.DTA showed that a carbonization came into being on the CeO2 surface at 500℃.
