In order to improve transmission speed of online electronic map, a database-based method ofpretreatment of rapid transmission is proposed. The reconstruction of electronic map data structure is stored in the database on preconditioning the electronic map, The electronic map data is read directly from the server and transported to the client. The efficiency of processing map is improved as the electronic map needn＇ t to be processed by the server. The experimental result shows that the transmission efficiency is improved and the electronic transmission of real-time characteristic is ensured in the fight context of the transmission of electronic map data.
