Spiral zone plate is a diffractive optical element which can realize optical differential filtering and the edge enhancement imaging.The focusing properties of spiral zone plate with topological charge 1 are studied and a method to calculate its spatial resolution is presented.The focusing property of spiral zone plate can be obtained by numerical calculation and according to the focusing property,the knife edge imaging can be calculated.Combining with the coherent imaging principle,the spatial resolution of spiral zone plate can be determined.The simulation and experimental results agree well with our theoretical prediction.
