This paper presents a visual cryptography scheme with meaningful shares for general access structure, called extended visual cryptography scheme（EVCS）, by means of matrices concatenation, and the pixel expansion is obtained. A color extended visual cryptography scheme for general access structure is constructed, and the optimal pixel expansion for color （k, n ）-EVCS is obtained as well.
