The Shijiawan site in Ganquan County and the Xiaweiluo site in Xunyi County yield a package of similar pottery wares. After a careful study, this article proposes that the two sites belong to one culture, and contain the Shijiawan, Miaodigou II and Anban III phases, all of which belong to the Shijiawan culture. It further discusses the connection of the Shijiawan culture and neighboring cultures and the distribution area of this culture, and believes that the Construction of the early city of Taosi is connected with the eastward expansion of the Shijiawan culture.
