An outcome-oriented reform was made in the teaching of the graduate course of regional economics to integrate the teacher＆#39;s instruction and students＆#39;paper writing .The reform was aimed at improving the course design ,teaching material , instruction method and examination so as to ensure that students would benefit from the teaching and write a quality paper for publication in an academic journal .In the process ,students would raise their research capability through learning by practice .
