Positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT) is the multimodal fusion technology that combines the positron emission tomography(PET) with high detective sensitivity and X-computed tomography(X-CT) which provides detailed anatomical information. This new biomedical imaging scanner is the integration of metabolic and anatomical imaging. PET/CT plays an important role in the diagnosis,differential diagnosis,staging,therapeutic efficacy and prognosis evaluation of tumor. It has been widely used in clinical medicine and the value of clinical application of PET/CT has been widely recognized.
