To realize better CoPS’s modular design,the module partition technoloy was introduced into the process of product’s conceptual model based on Function,Structure,and a module partition design for CoPS were presented.The method was analyzed to construct the module partition model of CoPS,which combined customer requirements analyse,function decomposition,function realization with modular parti-tion by the function chain.The modular design process analyse the relation and transform between function decompositon and function frame and function modular partition in conceptual design of CoPS.Finally an example of steam turbine design was introduced to verify this method based on function chain.
