The difference in transmission efficiency to nine kinds of pesticides between Odontotermes formosanus （ Shiraki ） and Reticulitermes chinensis （ Snyder ） was investigated by la- boratory tests. The results showed that the transmission efficiencies of R. chinensis to lambda-cyhalothrin, pyridaben and triazophos were higher than those of O. formosanus. At the same time, the transmissive efficiencies of O. formosanus to phoxim, beta-cypermethrin, abamectin, acetamiprid and methomyl were higher than those of R. chinensis. There was no obvious difference in transmission efficiency to bifenthrin between these two termites.
