Intestinal health directly affects the growth performance and carcass quality of pigs. As abeneficial bacteria, yeast could multiply bacterium group, increase ileum villi, promote the prolifera-tion of intestinal crypt cells, and improve the microenvironment and growth of pig intestine. This paperreviews the biological characteristics of yeasts and introduces its effects on intestinal villus, crypt andflora in pigs. The author also sketches the prospects of the probiotic.
