In order to meet the requirements of die ＆ mould corporations for knowledge management, a system of management for the mould design knowledge was put forward based on the analysis on the features of mould design knowledge. The system, based on the communication with customer and design review, can manage design knowledge in terms of the elementary, the principle, the case and the application.
