Landsat 5卫星自1984年3月1日发射以来已成功运转24a,在Landsat 5 TM的数据处理历史中,为提高辐射定标精度,美国地质调查局(USGS)分别在2003年5月和2007年4月对其辐射定标算法进行了两次更新,新算法采用基于查找表的定标算法,和Landsat 7 ETM+的定标算法相似。但是目前在遥感定量应用中对TM数据的辐射定标问题存在混乱状况,影响了定标精度。针对此状况,对Landsat 5 TM数据辐射定标问题进行了系统介绍,重点分析了定标算法变化情况,为正确进行Landsat 5 TM数据辐射定标提供参考。
Landsat 5 satellite launched on March 1, 1984 has been operating well for over 23 years. Over the lifetime of Landsat 5, USGS updated its absolute radiometric calibration algorithms on May, 2003 and April, 2007, respectively in order to improve absolute calibration accuracy, consistency over time and consistency with Landsat 7 ETM+ data. Now there are much confusion on the radiometric calibration of Landsat 5 TM data which may affect the precision of the absolute calibration. In order to solve this problem, this paper analyzes the methodology on the absolute radiometric calibration of TM data and its changes in detail, to help users to carry out the radiometric calibration correctly.
