强流脉冲电子束(HCPEB)是一种新型高效的材料表面处理手段。本文研究HCPEB处理对模具钢D2、金属间化合物Fe-40Al及镁合金AZ31和AZ91表层显微硬度的影响。HCPEB辐照引发极端温度应力复合作用,处理材料表层的显微硬度变化深度远超过热影响区范围,形成深层改性效果,实现材料表层强化处理。
High current pulsed electron beam (HCPEB) is an efficient way for materials surface modification. In this paper, we report microhardness distribution of HCPEB-treated metallic materials, including D2 mold steel, Fe-40Al intermetallic and Mg alloys. The extreme temperature and stress fields induced by HCPEB could change the mechanical property in the surface layer and depths beyond that heat-affected zone, hence the property modification of increased depths. The HCPEB treatment could be applied in surface hardening.
