Using Chinese regional industrial panel data from 2005--2010, referenced to Difference - in -Difference nonlinearity model, this paper makes an empirical study relating trade facilitation＇s effects on industrial development with the view of industrial agglomeration. The research finds that trade facilitation significantly promotes regional industrial growth, especially the highly agglomerated ones, both using sub - area and comprehensive indexes. The study on medium effect model＇s mechanism reveals that trade facilita- tion pushes the growth of regional industries by channels of export scale economy, export resource realloca- tion, import competition, import technology - knowledge transfer, horizontal effect, vertical effect, and cost saving effects.
