Kushenin （main contains oxymatrien）is a kind of alkaloids and applied in therapy of chronic hepatitis and so on. This paper summarized the pharmacological effects of alkaloids, such as anti-inflammation, anti-bacteria, decrease amiuopherase, antivirus, immunity-regulation, anti-tumor, anti-fibrosis, anti-cardiac-arrhythmias, anti-hypersusceptibility and anti-asthma. This paper emphasize on the mechanism of Kushenin on anti-tumor, its clinical application, and its adverse effect, which may give more help to its application.
