The low industrial concentration problem of our country＇s feed processing industry has restricted the industrial efficiency. This paper construsts an analytical framework of the transaction costs theory, based on the household contract system. The peasant households＇small- scale decentralized management affects transaction characteristics such as asset specificity, trad- ing frequency and uncertainty, which can be deemed as the institutional cause to the small- sized feed processing company＇s unceasingly emerging. Finally, the paper presents suggestions to improve industrial concentration.
