As a substitute, AgSnO2 material has a broader application than AgCdO material. The development of AgSnO2 contact material and the methods of preparation are introduced. The advantages and disadvantages of the internal oxidation and the powder metallurgy are simply described. And the main problems currently are analyzed. On this basis, the post-processing of AgSnO2 contact material is discussed. Finally, the developing tendency of the contact material is viewed.
