This research determined the effects of propolis flavone （PF） on serum antibody titers and peripheral lympho- cyte proliferation in vaccinated chicken and on proliferation of cultured avian splenic lymphocyte. The results showed that PF could significantly raise antibody titer and promote peripheral lymphocyte proliferation, which presented certain dose- and time-effect relationships. In vitro it could stimulate splenic lymphocyte proliferation, at low concentration with better efficacy. These confirmed that PF possessed stronger activity and was the effective component of propolis in immunoenhancement.
