"Tai sui"(Ts) is an organism of yet unclear taxonomic position exists on the earth.Seven kinds of Ts samples preserved in the lab were studied for their bio-components analyses qualitatively and quantitatively;wishing scientifically understand bio-component of Ts to provide theoretical foundation for the development, uses, and taxonomic characterization of the organism.Phenol sulfuric acid method was used to analyse polysaccharide content,Kjeldahl method for crude protein content,Soxhlet method for crude fat content,vanado-molybdic acid coloration method for total phosphorus content, burning weight method for ash content, constant temperature drying method for water content, and AAS method for trace elements. The results showed that the Ts samples had high water content(over 90%) except of LNUT006(73.58%).The polysaccharide content was between 8.97~46.57 mg/g except of LNUT006,which polysaccharide component was significantly higher than others. The crude protein content was between 20.35~184.18 mg/g,among which the LNUT006 protein was significantly higher than others. The net nucleic acid content was between 2.053~35.128 6 μg/g.The crude ash content was between 42.93~246.4 mg/g.Calciumand iron content was high up to 2 907.09~3 929.09 μg/g,lead and cadmium content was the lowest. It was for the first time to study the unknown organism "tai sui" samples on their components initially and systematically. It is preliminary and has a great significance on clarification of their constituents and their further exploitation.
