Border gateway protocol （BGP）is a kind of routing protocol which is widely used in inter - domain connection, its main function is exchange the reachable information between autonomy systems o BGP is a very robust and scalable routing protocol, as evidenced by the fact that BGP is the routing protocol employed on the Internet. To achieve scalability, BGP uses many route parameters, called attributes, to define routing policies and maintain a stable routing environment, this paper is a summary about the BGP, for example the problem of the security,route oscillation and so on, and the corresponding method of how to resolve it.
