Translational medicine aims to transfer biomedical research findings into clinical application quickly and efficiently, i. e. , a continuous process from clinical practice to lab experiment, and then to clinical use. This paper reviews the concepts, background, characteristics, research contents, current sta- tus at home and abroad, basic conditions, and prospect of translational medicine, and makes a brief sum- mary and comments.
