Agricultural tailwater or irrigation return flow has replaced point source pollution and has become the major source of water pollution and its negative effect on receiving water is gradually obvious, whose pollutant components are complicated and output pathways are various. Based on the reference of relevant research, the generation process of agricultural tailwater, the management and control measures and treatment methods are discussed with their advantages and disadvantages while prospecting its proper application.
