Aiming at protecting the ancient architectures, with the help of Multigen Creator and Vega Prime, we set up the 3D virtual reality system of the ancient architecture, which includes the functions of 3D reconstruction, touring, data enquiry, analyzing and comparison. Key issues related to the system construction are discussed.
