Community participation means resident in the whole process of tourism development, and share the benefit of income and so on. Community participation has become an integral part of the world tourism development process. Lugu lake scenic area, where mosuo people of China inhabit in compact, is a typical ethnic tourism area. The paper takes Lige village in Lugu lake of Yunnan province as research object. It discusses main features of Lugu lake scenic area, probes further into the microscopic village community, analyzes the existing problems with the main bodies of community participatory tourism, and provides advice for cultivating competent community participator of ethnic tourism.
