According to analyze the purity of the molten steel in the tundish and the purity of the slab after the application of filter, the application effect of the CaO filter in the 50 t T-shape tundish was evaluated. The physical fluid model and numerical model are also utilized to study the fluid field of the molten steel. It has been demonstrated that the ratio of the large inclusion removal effect has been improved by 17. 1%, and the ratio of the dead zone has been decreased by 8%.
