The paper discusses whether there are social class differences in environmental concern by using 2005 Chinese General Social Survey data. The research attempts to examine the relationship between class and environment concern. The results show that social class differences in environment concern are obvious, namely the degree that the ruling elites, the old middle class and the rising "middle class" disgust eco-unfriendly behaviors, which is more than that of lower classes. Comparing with the old middle class, the rising "middle class" is more averse to eco-unfriendly behaviors. Besides, social classes' participation in public activities has distinct impact on their environment concern.
