The data envelopment analysis（DEA）model is used to measure and analyze the relative effectiveness of operational efficiency of listed coal companies from 2010 to 2013.The re-sults show that the operational efficiency of listed coal companies are generally low during these four years.The comprehensive technical efficiencies of more than half of the listed coal companies are invalid,the most important reason of which is low pure technical efficiency;Generally high scale efficiency reflects an important low-growth feature of the maj ority of listed companies in the coal industry.However,there are also some spaces for the listed companies to enhance the pro-duction capacity through scientific exploration and fine management.
