In this paper, the principle and characteristic of dish thermal power is introduced, also, the critical technique of dish solar thermal system such as concentrators,receivers, heat engine etc. are described in detail. Especially,an overall analysis of receiver for dish solar thermal power system is given, and the results show that the heat pipe receivers have good development prospects.
