By means of symbolic computation with Maple,a class of lump solutions to the（3＋1）-dimensional generalized shallow water equation is studied,and the Bcklund transformation（BT）for a（2＋1）-dimensional breaking soliton euqation has been generated in bilinear form.Based on the BT,the multi-soliton solutions can be derived by apurely algebraic procedure.
