A lot of researches have demonstrated that tumor cells can express beta-adrenoceptors through which some neurotransmitters, drugs and psychosoeial factors may affect the development and metastasis of tumors. And this effect can be enhanced or attenuated by agonists or antagonists of beta-adrenoceptors and depression. This opens up new avenues and offers promising therapeutic targets for tumors expressing beta-adrenoceptors.
