NBA,which is the best national basketball as-sociation in the world, has brought up generations of ex-cellent coaches. Based on the data from the relevant web-sites of NBA （ www. basketball-reference. com and www. stat-nba. com ） and valid data from Wikipedia, we con-struct a Coaching Evaluation System of NBA（ including 4 level I indicators and 12 level II indicators） . We establish the Entropy-TOPSIS model by combining Entropy Method with TOPSIS evaluation method to obtain the value of en-tropies and weights corresponding to 12 level II indica-tors. Then, we define Standard Decision-making Matrix and Standard Weighting Matrix to calculate the composite indices of coaching level. 53 coaches in NBA are analyzed and evaluated. The result shows that the top-ranking coa-ches have extensive experience in finals like Phil Jack-son,Red Auerbach,Pat Riley,Don Nelson,John Kundla, et al. ,while lowly-ranked coaches are lacking of experi-ences in the playoffs including Sam Mitchell, Don Chaney,Red Kerr,Jack McKinney,et al.
