掌握杰出体育竞技人才的成长规律,有利于国家体育政策的制定和体育人才培养及管理的有效实施,对推动中国竞技体育事业的发展具有重要意义。通过建立历届夏季奥运会冠军数据库,利用人文地理的研究方法对我国历届夏季奥运会冠军的时空分布及成长特征进行研究。结果表明：1）从时间上看,我国历届奥运会夺金能力较稳定增强;2）从空间上看,奥运冠军主要来自我国中高纬度地区、东部经济发达地区以及中南、华东与华北三地区;3）我国奥运金牌主要集中于技能主导类项目,且奥运冠军的项群在不同纬度、经度以及地区的分布存在非常显著性差异;4）绝大部分奥运冠军的家庭经济条件并不很好;5）奥运冠军分布众多的省份都是人口密集、经济发达的省份。

英文摘要：

Master the growth pattern of outstanding talents in competitive sports have benefits to formulate policies on sports and athletes＇ cultivation and management and promote the development of competitive sports in China. This study built champion database of successive summer Olympic Games, and using the method of human geogra- phy to do the research of spatial-temporal distribution and growth characteristics of Chinese Olympic champions. From time view, Chinese gold medal ability is strengthening constantly. From spatial view, Olympic champions mainly comes from the middle and high latitudes area in China, economic developed area in eastern China and South-central, North and Eastern China. Chinese Olympic gold medals mainly focus on skill dominant events. And the distribution of Olympic champions＇ events has very significant difference in different latitude, longitude and region. Most of Olympic champions＇ family economic conditions are not very good. Provinces in which Olym- pic champions distribute intensively are all Densely-populated and economic advanced.
