The paper reviews the literature about concepts,theories and applications of teams,self-organization,and self-organizing teams. The features of self-organizing teams are analyzed in details including opening-up,self-determination,adaptation,complexity,non-linearity and dynamics on the basis of the literature review. This study establishes the foundation for the theoretical research of self-organizing teams.
