The open standards interface OPC （OLE For Process Control） is described in this article. In combination of the powerful MATLAB engineering computing capability and real-time data acquisition WINCC, the dynamic data exchange between MATLAB and WINCC is designed and realized. As the communication interface of Client ~TLAB and Server WINCC, OPC implements better communications between heterogeneous systems. This paper tells of in detail its methods and concrete steps. Furthermore, the practicality and effectiveness of OPC technology applied in the industrial field and system integration is verified.
