This paper analyzed the YU Chang’s characteristics in nature and flavor of formula composition from drug application,formula composition and so on based on the characteristics of nature and flavor composition embodied in Principle and Prohibition for Medical Profession,in order to provide reference for the clinical application.The characteristics of nature and flavor in drug application and formula composition of Principle and Prohibition for Medical Profession mainly reflected in the following 3 aspects：exposition of compatibility and incompatibility of drugs,therapy,new formula creation,and analysis of compatibility of medicines.
