A couple of new chromoionphores 1 and 2 based on iminoanthraquinone derived crown ether were synthesized.Compound 1 showed remarkable color changes in the presence of Ba2＋ and Ca2＋,while compound 2 showed high sensitive and selective ＇naked-eye＇ recognition toward Mg2＋ over other tested ions.
