The paper introduced the development of a pixel CdZnTe detector by our research group, including the preparation of the CdZnTe detectors and the performance test. The size of the 4 4 pixel detector is 11 11 6.3mm^3 and the pixel size is 2 2mm^2. The energy resolution of the best pixel for ^137Cs 662keV gamma ray is 1.4 %. After adding a guard ring and the peak position normalization, the total energy resolution is 2.08%.
