The basic conception of plant electrical signal, 3 development stages in its research history, and the advance of researches in the future were summed up briefly. Generally speaking, the electrical signal of plants is a signal that the undulations or information were recorded by the appearance of the potential, electrical current, resistance, capacitance in plant cells or tissues. The plant electrical signal is a weak low frequency signal for ≤5 Hz and "μV" grade (1 -999 μV) in the normal activity of the plant physiology.
