英文摘要：

The purpose of this study is to provide a reference for the policy of cultivated land protection compensation in china by analyzing the operation of farmland protection compensation mechanism in Canada.Based on analyzing the documentation,the paper explains the guidelines and mechanism of the compensation system in both countries.The results show that the mechanism of Canadian compensation system simultaneously takes into account farmers,agriculture,and rural sector together.It has gradually established a compensation mechanism meeting the requirements of protecting farmers＇ interests and internal and external markets.The paper concludes that there are three advantages of the Canadian compensation mode that can be referred by Chinese land-policy makers in order to improve the farmers＇ income and build a sustainable rural economy,i.e.,1） changing compensation guidelines,2） establishing diverse forms of compensation,and 3） changing current mechanism into a specific,dynamic and graded one.
