We propose a scheme for implementing optimal probabilistie teleportation between two separated trapped ions. In this scheme, Bob can reconstruct internal state of ionl on ion3 (the receiver of electronic state) with optimal probability by controlling the interaction time between ion3 and laser standing wave in trap B after receiving the result of Alice's measurement on the subsystem of ion1 and ion2 in trap A.
