With great improvement of the electronic chip integration, the reliability of the system chip has become a serious problem. In some industries where system stability is strictly required, system failures can result in significant economic and human losses. This paper introduces some research achievements of domestic and foreign scholars in fault tolerance in recent years, which shows reconfigurable hardware is more suitable as a carrier of ev- olutionary hardware because of its advantages of flexible programming, low power consumption. The realization principles of two typical reconfigurable hardware fault - tolerant schemes are introduced in detail, and the future development direction of fault- tolerant technology is predicted by comParative analysis.
