The article analyzes ceramics documents, pictues and material objects, and expounds on the impact of Chinese ceramics tablewares such as Zhejiang celadon, Jingdezhen blue ＆ white porcelain and Jingdezhen coloured drawing porcelain on Japanese catering culture. Both China and Japan have their own unique catering culture. Chinese place values on foods, while Japanese place value on tablewares, contributing to different pursues for tastes and visions. The superb Chinese ceramics technology and craftman is assimilated to Japanese ceramics, rsuhing in production of tablewares adapted to Japanese Yamato People＇s catering customs. The Chinese catering culture is assimilated to Japanese catering, which places value on harmonious configuration between foods and tablewares, highlights the ceramic colours and modelling, and develops the unique catering culture of Japanese Yamato People.
