With Kripke＇ s reading of rule - following and the subsequent heated discussions, the thesis of meaning and normativity has become an inevitable issue in philosophy of language. Kripke＇ s reading indicates that disposi- tional accounts cannot justify the use of expressions and meaning ascriptions, and there is a gap between the descrip- tions of dispositional behaviors and the normative conclusions. The meaning of expressions has normative dimension, and only by analyzing the related concepts, i. e. , correctness and effectiveness, can we clarify the normativity.
