The W-Cu functionally gradient materials （FGM） is a new kind of composite materials. The basic properties and the applications of W-Cu FGM are discribed, the preparation methods of FGM are introduced. The electro-deposition method in the preparation of FGM is emphatically described, and the feasibility of W-Cu FGM is analyzed. Finally, the problems of W-Cu FGM which should be solved are pointed out.
