Based on the operation safety of highways in mountainous area,the safety features of the mountainous highway are summarized.The hidden dangers of mountainous highway existing in many aspects such as road alignment equilibrium,operation safety of tunnel section and pavement drainage and safety etc.were analyzed,and then the reform ideas for dealing with all hidden dangers were given.Some corresponding operable improvement and preventive measures that have a very good reference value for design and operation safety of mountainous highway were given.It provides a very good reference for highway operation safety management of China＇s mountainous area.
