Facing to the pressure in the change of urban social structure,many cities explore new mechanism to cope with it and formed particular management mode.They give us many valuable experiences on coordinating ethnic relations and integrating socio-political resources by community organizations and ethnic associations.These institutional innovations with participation of multiple subjects can be simply categorized as＂plural and compound social management system＂which is beneficial to manage complex ethnic affairs and also can meet the needs of modern urban governance.All of innovation provides us new ideas and approaches to deal with urban ethnic problems.
