Marine industry is one of the most potential industries that absorb the employment rate, With the development of marine economy in our country, and the increase of marine industrial sectors, the employed population in the marine industry increases year by year. With the land industry as reference, and comparing labor productivity with employment elasticity from the aspects of development speed and labor productivity, the paper analyzes the characteristics of marine industry in absorbing the labor force. The paper also makes a comparative and analysis of the marine industrial structure of different countries such as China, the United States, Canada, Australia and so on, and proposes that the marine industrial employment structure among the main marine countries has the characteristic of isomorphism.
