The gas phase and particle phase polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the atmosphere of Waliguan were investigated consecutively from April 2 to May 23, 2005 year. The total PAIRs concentration was 7.43-29.96ng/m^3. The gas phase PAHs concentration was 7.01-26.10ng/m^3, the particle phase PAHs concentration was 0.28-7.84ng/m^3, the gas phase PAHs occupied 66.5%-98.8% of the total concentration. The gas-particle partitioning coefficient (Kp) presented good relation with sub-cooled saturation vapor pressure (PL^0) (R^2=0.67-0.92), slop (mr) all〉-1. The PAHs concentration in the atmosphere of Waliguan was influenced by the factors of temperature, wind speed, atmospheric temperature inversion layer and atmospheric long-range transport.
